Technician
Location: St. John's, Newfoundland
Due to continued growth and expansion, ADS is currently looking
to hire a Technician for the Managed IT Services group in St.
John's, Newfoundland to join their dedicated team of local experts
which spans across five Canadian offices.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible
for:
- Working with clients in person and over the phone to
troubleshoot and support their internal systems, networks, and
applications
- Consulting with clients to facilitate installation and
implementation of new IT hardware and software applications
- Coordinating network access, setting up new users with email
accounts, and configuring security permissions
- Assisting with upgrades and conversions of clients' internal
systems
- Supporting internal and external sales efforts as required
- Collaborating with Development to implement fixes and custom
solutions
- Setting up computer desktops and peripheral equipment such as
printers and mobile devices (including the BlackBerry Enterprise
Server).
- Maintaining the tracking system in order to log issues, ensure
a timely response, resolve issues, and measure performance.
We are seeking candidates that will bring the following
skills and experience:
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to be responsive to customer
support requests while balancing daily tasks and
responsibilities
- Prioritization skills in order to triage incoming client issues
and handle resolution effectively
- Previous experience with hands-on customer support is
considered an asset
- Superior verbal communication skills and listening skills in
order to correspond with clients, diagnose issues and resolve
problems
- Degree or College Diploma from a recognized post-secondary
institution (or equivalent) coupled with complementary
experience
